December 5th saw the opening of the SAJM’s latest temporary exhibition, Where is Kovno? A multi-faceted, memorial for the murdered Jewish citiziens of Kaunas and of Lithuania.

Created by artists Yda Walt and Cheryl Rumbak, ‘WHERE IS KOVNO?’ explores the tragedy of the Second World War genocide of Lithuanian Jewry, many of whom shared ancestral links with the South African Jewish community.
